2300 Club – Stage Sponsor
The 2300 Club was formed in 1955 in the Mullards Factory in Blackburn which used to employ over 6000 people. The club survived the demise of Mullards and is thriving at 65 years old. For 40 years 2300 club ran their own highly successful closed road rally, the Tour of Mull, which won many awards and was widely known as ‘The Best Rally in the World’.
The club operates a scholarship scheme, The John Easson Award, sponsoring a young rally driver each year to the value of £5000 and has previous winners who are now competing in rallies at World Championship level.
2300 Club also organises a Touring Car Assembly, The Andy Mort Tour, in memory of our club member who died on the Mull rally in 2015. In 2022 this will be held on the 22nd of October and promises another great route, starting and finishing in the Ribble Valley.
